September 9: Tuesday: 7 p.m.—To Oak or Not to Oak—Wine Education Class—Many wine drinkers love wines that are aged in oak…others not so much! September 17: Wednesday: 6 p.m.—The Inn Between and The Savvy Wine Cellar September Wine Pairing Dinner—Six fabulous courses prepared by Chef Chris Cesta paired with six wines specially selected by Allison and Dale. Sometimes moving from summer to fall leads us to wines that are not quite as light-bodied as those we’ve enjoyed from May through August. September 26: Friday: 5-8 p.m.—“Can I Get Your Number.... Baby?” Tasting with Bonnie Krawczyk of Southern Wine and Spirits—Our customers love Nobel Vines wines—242 Chardonnay, 282 Sauvignon Blanc, 181 Merlot, 667 Pinot Noir and, Savvy’s Number One Customer favorite of 2013, 337 Cabernet Sauvignon. In fact, our little shop has the largest fan base of these wines than any other shop in our area! Do you have a favorite number? October 8: Wednesday 7 p.m.—A Fortnight in France with Erin and Mark—If you’ve always dreamed about visiting and tasting the wines of Burgundy and Bordeaux in France, here’s your chance to learn a little about the regions and taste four delightful wines. Savvy staffer Erin Eshenour-Lesser and her husband, Mark Lesser, recently spent a fortnight (two weeks) on their honeymoon and have much to share with you about the wines from these storied regions.
