What Our Customers are Saying
“The Savvy Wine Cellar is a breath of fresh air… Other wine and liquor stores either have he huge warehouse feel or are so small and cramped that you feel like you walked into a hoarder’s house. The Savvy Wine Cellar is neither. With its friendly environment and staff, it invites you to stay and shop, not grab and go. And while the shop feels ‘high end,’ the prices are not. There is a wide range of choices with some wines starting as low as $7.99. Through their educational classes on varietals, I have gained more knowledge about the types of wines I like to drink; and their food and wine pairing classes teach you more than just ‘white wine goes with fish and red wine goes with meat.’ If you are looking for a wine and liquor store that offers more than just discount prices, I encourage to visit The Savvy Wine Cellar. The experience will keep you going back.”A. Martini
“…Over the past seven-and-a-half years Dale and Allison Record have been instrumental in collaborating with the Inn Between Restaurant to help produce numerous wine pairing dinners. They have reached out to The Inn Between and offered their expertise in selecting wines for pairings as well as marketing these events, here as well as in the community. A “win-win “for small businesses in Central New York.
We both understand the need to be active in our community and support its many causes in order to remain a viable small business in a struggling upstate economy…”Chef Christopher Cesta, C.E.C.
“The Savvy Wine Cellar is not your average liquor store, it’s more like a library of specifically chosen wines and spirits owned and staffed by knowledgeable people who are passionate about sharing what they know to help customers expand their knowledge of viniculture as well as their palates.
The time spent by Dale and Allison to prepare quality themed tastings, complete with takeaway tasting notes, not to mention the more detailed free classes available is so appreciated. I know my knowledge of wine including an appreciation of the terroir and what goes into production, has greatly expanded since becoming a Savvy customer.
Thank you for always making our visits to the Savvy like dropping into see friends rather than a shopping trip.Christine Black
“Dale and Allison offer not only a distinctive selection of wines, but expertise in their recommendations that are spot on! And all in atmosphere of an intimate wine shop versus a big liquor store. Love it!”Nancy Amerault
